Momence Gladiolas Festival

Join us for our annual small-town festival during early August.  Watch parades, meet the Glad queen and princess, enjoy rides at the carnival, see the classic car show, stock up at the flea and antique market, run the Kids Run or 5k and 10k River Run, and enjoy live music and great food!  (5-min drive)

Kankakee County Fair

A big local event in early August featuring carnival rides, games, 4-H exhibits, farm animals, and Grandstand events including a rodeo, tractor pull, demolition derby, and musical concerts.  Oh, and food, lots of food!  (20-min drive)

Mainstreet Momence

Canoe and Kayak Trips

Paddle the beautiful Kankakee River!  Reed’s Canoe Trips rents canoes and kayaks and provides shuttle service for a variety of float trips down the river.  Another great way to enjoy nature during your camping stay.

Splash Valley Aquatic Park

Our local outdoor waterpark was recently renovated and updated.  Fun for all ages and well supervised.  Features include closed and open body/tube slides, children’s character slide, water troughs, main play feature with slide, volleyball courts, and concession stand.  (20-min drive)

Deep River Waterpark

Deep River is one of the Midwest’s largest outdoor water parks and features activities for all ages — Wave Pool, 2 Lazy River Rides, 2 Cannon Bowl Rides, Speed Slides, Paddles Play Zone for the little ones, the STORM ride complex, the KRAKEN 6-lane slide racer, and much more.  It’s open Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day and has plenty of lifeguards to keep the kids safe and happy!  (50-min drive)
